A large part of social recreational dance is within the leisure and recreation services category:
- Theme & amusement parks - very highly developed
- Golf courses - well developed industry
- Pool halls - a reasonably well developed component; and converged by other businesses
- Bowling alleys - the slow resurgence is due to the re-developing state of the industry
- Racetracks - fell behind, occassional re-developing attempts
- Ice & Roller skating rinks - fell behind the times, undeveloped state now
- Video rentals - mostly well developed
